What if collective workshops were as prevalent at public libraries? How could communities be empowered to design and build their own spaces? Could architecture education in the future be situated in communities? Marcin Kedzior and Will Fu are working on a speculative project that traces the history of educational spaces, with a focus on spaces of making. Part of this research investigates where the contemporary spaces of architectural education come from. We are proposing that architecture education leaves the insular sutdio, computer lab, and classroom, to engage with situations and directly improvise with the city.
